Have you seen the new site at www.moxyvote.com? It allows investors to align their personal brokerage accounts along with advocates like Investors Against Genocide so that their shares are voted in parallel. Other groups that are providing informed opinions on the site include Sisters of Mercy, Humane Society, and As You Sow.
Most proxies are voted in the late Spring. So, not a lot of battles now. But, you can affiliate and sort of "set and forget" to ensure your shares are voted properly when proxy season rolls around.
